Alumina Magnesia Carbon (AMC) Bricks
Alumina Magnesia Carbon (AMC) bricks are resin bonded made from corundum or bauxite, magnesia and graphite. The magnesia and carbon contents are 5-35 % and about 10% respectively. If an AMC bricks heated, then spinal (MgO – Al2O3) forms and the resulting post firing expansion can have closed joints and densify the bricks structure.
Many reports have demonstrated the positive results of AMC bricks in torpedo and steel ladles. they are great at high resistance to molten metals, also used in pouring ladle linings of raw iron, torpedo ladles and inner-linings of casting ladles.
- Good high temperature resistance property,
- Strong slag erosion resistance,
- Good thermal shock resistance,
- Low high-temperature creep,
- Good Thermal Stability and Conductivity
