Insulation Castable

Insulating castable refers to a specific family of refractory castable (refractory concrete). Insulating castable is designed to display low density and low thermal conductivity to keep heat energy and to reduce fossil energy consumption.

These castables are a specialised form of refractories that are predominantly used on the cold-face applications (temperature ranging from 900°C to 1500°C). Their main function is to provide thermal insulation, and their typical design nature is low density and thermal conductivity.

This castable is premixed combinations of refractory aggregates, matrix components or modifiers, bonding agents, and admixtures

Advantage

Insulating castable has strong permeability, which is easy for the forming of dense and improve the air tightness. Insulation castable material can be used in petroleum, construction, steel industrial and other industries.

Insulating castable refractory materials are key to this energy-saving process due to their inherent low heat conductivity as well as advantages derived from ease of placement and structural strength.
